Salt Lake City, Utah – October 16, 2024 – Stratus HR, a leader in human resources outsourcing, is proud to announce being named a Utah Top Workplace for the fifth consecutive year. This prestigious award, powered by employee feedback and administered by Energage in partnership with The Salt Lake Tribune, underscores Stratus HR’s unwavering commitment to creating an environment where employees feel valued, engaged, and inspired to do their best work.
"Winning the Utah Top Workplaces award for the fifth year in a row is an incredible honor for us,” said John Farnsworth, CEO and Co-Owner of Stratus HR. “We’ve always believed that the strength of Stratus HR lies in our people. From day one, we’ve focused on fostering a culture where everyone feels heard, supported, and challenged to grow. That’s why this recognition means so much. It’s proof that our team feels the difference we strive to make every day."
Winning the Utah Top Workplaces award is not just a testament to the company's leadership but a reflection of the collective efforts of every employee who makes Stratus a vibrant and dynamic place to work.
"This award recognizes the collective spirit that drives everyone at Stratus,” said Chase Heywood, President and COO. “What makes this award so meaningful is that it’s driven by our employees' voices. Their feedback is what helps us grow, improve, and continue to be a place where people want to come to work each day. To be recognized by our employees, year after year, is humbling and affirms our commitment to building a culture of trust, respect, and opportunity."
At the heart of this achievement is the feedback provided by Stratus HR employees. The Top Workplaces honor is based entirely on employee input, gathered through a scientific survey which evaluates 24 critical factors that contribute to workplace satisfaction. The survey asks employees to rate their experiences in areas such as compensation, leadership, direction, meaningfulness, appreciation, and growth opportunities. The data is compiled and analyzed to determine whether a company exceeds national benchmarks for workplace excellence.
Out of 3,175 Utah organizations invited to participate in the survey for 2024, only a select few earned the coveted Top Workplaces distinction. Stratus HR came in as #14 out of 84 small business winners and ranked higher than any other Professional Employer Organization (PEO) listed as a fellow Utah Top Workplaces winner.
"Our approach to employee satisfaction is simple: we listen," explained Farnsworth. "We actively seek out feedback from our team, whether it’s through formal surveys or in daily conversations. That’s the only way we can ensure we’re providing the right tools, resources, and support for our employees to thrive—and we’re more committed than ever to keeping that momentum going."
"When we say our employees are more than just numbers to us, we mean it," added Heywood. "We believe in supporting the whole person—professionally, personally, and emotionally. That’s why we invest in their development, well-being, and success. When our employees grow, Stratus HR grows. It’s as simple as that."
